What we keep
Privacy policy
Last updated 16 October 2026
Pedalatry helps you plan pedalboards. We keep as little about you as the site needs to work, we don't sell it, and we don't use advertising trackers.
What we keep
- Your account, if you make one: your name, your email address and your password, which is stored only as a one-way hash. If you turn on two-factor authentication or passkeys, we keep what they need to work.
- Your boards: the pedals, their positions, the board, the power supply and the wiring, and whether you have shared the board. A board built without an account stays in your own browser until you save it.
- Clicks on shop links: which product and shop, where on the site the click came from, and your country and shopping region. We never record your IP address or who you are with a click.
- Error reports, when something breaks, without personal details, so we can fix it.
Cookies
We set only the cookies the site needs or that you choose:
- a session cookie and a security token, to keep you signed in and forms safe;
- your light or dark mode choice;
- your shopping region (US, UK or Europe), if you pick one.
We set no advertising or analytics cookies. When you follow a link to a shop, that shop may set its own cookies, including the one that tells it we sent you; its own privacy policy applies there.
Who else is involved
- our host, which runs the site and its database;
- Cloudflare, which stores uploaded files and protects the site;
- an email service, to send password-reset emails;
- an error-monitoring service, for the reports above.
Each handles data only to provide its service to us. We don't share your details with shops or manufacturers.
Shop links
Some links to shops are affiliate links: if you buy through one, the shop may pay us a commission, at no cost to you. It never changes which pedals, power supplies or shops we suggest.
Your choices
You can change your details, or delete your account and every board in it, from your settings. To ask what we hold about you, or anything else, write to [email protected].
Children
Pedalatry is not meant for children under 13.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it.
